Hey lovely, may you Monday be short and your coffee be strong! Today’s Blogmas is all about the importance of reflecting and evaluating where you are and where you want to be.
Every Friday morning I spend 30 mins on the phone with my beautiful business mentor. We start each call talking about things we can celebrate from the previous week. We then put that week behind us and we foucus on the next week. My favorite way to prepare for a new week is to find 1 or 2 affrimations, a quote, or a Bible verse that I carry throughout that week. Write it literally everywhere my planner, on notecards, set it as my screensavers, write a blog about it, or make content from it, etc. Then we get to talk about the challenging things I want to do the next week. Wether it is blogging, school related, spiritual, or physical.
Well I love setting the challenge of new goals, I love seeing where I started and where I am currently. I also love looking at the end goal. Refelcting is such an important step in getting to that end goal. Often this is when you notice that you need to change something or try something new. You can’t just set the goal wanting to go somewhere and then not have a outline or step by step how to accomplish that goal. You have to work for the end result. Maybe those steps contain filling for you passport, saving a certian amount of money for the costs of the trip, and then you can book that trip you have been dreaming about taking.
Reflecting on where you started and where you want to be can help when you get discouraged with the time it takes to harvest dreams. Most importantly it can help you to notice where you can be doing better and spending time working toward the end goal.
There is no better time to reflect then during Christmas. A season where we should reflect on the beautiful coming of our Savoir and Lord Jesus Christ to save us all from the hurt and heartbreak of this world.
I challenge to find a weekly that you can reflect on the last week and evalutate where you want to be.
In the comments what is one thing you can reflect on over this last year, and where do you want to be?
Thanks for being here!
