Happy Tuesday Beautiful, I hope you are having a fantastic week! And to all the people taking finals this week, You got this.
Some days it is hard to remember that God made you a promise and He is faithful to fulfill that promise. Sometimes the devil tries to convince you that you aren't worthy of the things God has promised you or that you don't deserve the promise. But those are lies from the devil himself. He knows that his time is limited to cause you fear and to keep you from your purpose . So he (the devil) is trying so hard to stop you but don't let him. Get in the word, pray, and worship till you see your breakthrough come to pass.
We often pray that God will speak to us but instead we feel stuck in our waiting season and we focus on the things we aren't seeing rather than focusing on the things God has spoken in the past. Just because they were spoken in the past doesn't mean that they don't apply today. Your promise was spoken in the past and will be fulfilled in the future. Your waiting season is a season of growth, a time to trust God, a time to dig deep into God's word, worship, and to listen.
There are many examples of waited because God gave someone or a group of people a word. In Genesis we see Sarah waited 90 years to have a baby, in 1 Samuel 1:13 it says "Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard." Hannah wanted a baby and in verse 15 it says "I was pouring out my soul to the Lord." In our season of waiting we need to pour our hearts out to God in prayer. My favorite story of waiting is the Christmas story of people waiting. People waited hundreds of years for the word that a Messiah to be born. And we are still waiting for his second return to bring us to Heaven with Him.
Here are a few of my favorite reminders//verses when I feel defeated because I haven't heard or seen anything from God.
-God gave me a word and he won't go back.
-For no word from God will ever fail. (Luke 1:37)
-You are worth it Don't settle
-What God has for you is for you. Trust his timing, Trust his plan.
-God remembers the promise He put in your heart. Don't be discouraged if things aren't happening on your timetable.
-Take delight in the lord, he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalms 37:4)
-God is going before you to make a way where they is no way.
- But Mary treasured up all theses things and pondered them in her heart. (Luke 2:19)
